Nestled high in the hills of Somersett in Reno, Nevada, Chalk Ridge is a mountain modern forever home designed to capture sweeping views of the downtown skyline and the Tahoe mountain range. This light-filled residence blends sleek European-inspired style with warm, inviting touches—created for a young, active family and their two dogs.

The open-concept floor plan layers warm woods, bold accents, and custom details throughout. A statement 8-foot walnut dining table anchors the main living space, while the modern kitchen pairs dramatic panda granite with shimmering blue wallpaper for a refined, high-contrast look. Spaces including the home office, powder bath, mudroom, and laundry room were thoughtfully tailored for daily routines and entertaining—featuring a fireplace with built-in bench seating, a glamorous custom-tiled powder room, a craft-ready laundry, and a dedicated dog wash.

With four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms, the home balances personality with comfort in every space. The primary suite is a tranquil retreat with spa-like finishes, deep blue grasscloth wallpaper, and floating nightstands—luxurious, calming, and highly livable.

From the golf simulator room to the wine lounge, Chalk Ridge showcases thoughtful planning, elevated finishes, and everyday luxury—reflecting the family’s lifestyle and love of entertaining.
