Brae Court is an award-winning, 4,500 sq ft mountain retreat in Schaffer’s Mill, Truckee, California, designed by Emily Roose Interiors. This organic mountain modern vacation home received the Mountain Glam Award from Tahoe Quarterly Magazine and the International Property Awards (Residential Interior — Private Residence, California).

Inspired by the Sierra Nevada, the interiors blend mountain modern architecture with organic materials and biophilic design principles to create a sanctuary that feels both luxurious and deeply connected to nature. A board-formed concrete fireplace anchors the great room, while custom art, a European-style kitchen, and concrete vanities add refined, architectural character. A spa-inspired wellness space and nature-inspired lighting support a restorative, multi-sensory experience throughout the home.
